Deiva Thirumagal
Undo I am Sam before you set out to watch Deiva Tirumagal. I dont understand why so much masala and comedy was required in this subject. Unlike the ridiculous trailer of this film, Vikram is amazing and he slowly creeps in convincing you of his role. There are few lump in the throat moments in this film.. which is spoiled by immediately following comedy scenes/songs. Naaser is surprisingly imitating Gouravam Sivaji.. totally disgusting, and so were the 'My Lord' court scenes. Wish Anoushka and the lil girl were seen more. Watch Vikram's aboriginal effort utilized towards another so-so made film.

Farewell to a fond series..
well, 3D experience and visual effects was good.. movie in itself was so-so. the trend in recent HP series followed, movie did lil justice to its book. Few characters are worth mentioning in this one - HP ofcourse, McGonagall, Neville..but Snape's role was fantastically enacted, he lingers in your mind for a while. Other characters are bordering non-existence by the depth.. even Voldemort himself. The final epic war was not so great.. there was literally a dishoom-dishoom series between HP and his counterpart.. du'h?! and there wasn't one emotional moment unlike the experience while reading. All the sacrificial deaths were meaningless, no sadness whatsoever. Lump in your throat rumors might have been an exaggeration I thought.. but there was indeed a tinge of sadness when the credits rolled and HP soundtrack played.
Will miss watching HP for sure.. but its time to collect all Blu rays in order!

Recommends watching Payanam. Did not expect comedy in such a gripping storyline, it did bring down the vigor! Nevertheless a decent take. Naagarjun and Sams (Java Sundaresan guy) were notable ones.

Thanks to e'one who watched Manmadan Ambu and helped set zero expectations. For some reason it was marketed as a full length comedy movie rather than simple drama that it actually is. Winning formula-Crazy M dialogues was definitely missing and second half was tad slow. Otherwise liked the movie. Any score is a bad score from Sachin, so is Kamal's films! One cant get enough from geniuses ;)

Guzaarish is ordinary... I'd recommend watching DVD version if/when its out!
Plus: Hrithik, Minus: bummer script, screenplay.. and Aishwarya - god she
is in her peak of fake looks/acting/what not

Tamil padam + SMS + Goa + many other lifted scenes, dialogs = Boss Enkira Baskaran, but still worth a watch.. Santhaanam just rocked :):)

But for Vikram, stunning visuals and aesthete, Raavanan surely lacks depth in characterization and relationships which is generally Maniratnam's forte.. Suhasini's dialogs lacked vigor and never once felt convincing... nevertheless worth a watch in big screen; A more interesting review can be found here

Felt like appreciating the older one after watching the "Phir mile.." version.. except for ARR, Anoushka and few other instrument pieces, song is such a mess.. drums didn't go well with the already boring song.. HIGHLIGHTS (v. v. sarcastic): Salman, Deepika's costumes (i dont know what to say!), and Bollywood in totality! (except Amitabh n Juhi :)) Old is gold, what else?

LIKES: Naadirdana track, Jai's english "2 coffees-1 No sugar 1 yes sugar", Vijaykumar roars in Panjayathu, someone says - katharavana thoratharda vittutu,ella kaakai yum viratraaru, Mockery of every damn actor. HATES: Absolutely no plot, Premji is unbearable when serious, you'll hate 'Kangal Irandal' song at the end of the movie. IN ALL-SO SO.
