So.. Kadhalar Dhinam it is. There are few songs that I do not even hum along with original because I can never hit the high notes, or at least I assumed so. Interestingly few verses have backing harmonies in lower registers and I'd conveniently opt to humming that, well it won't be a pleasant listening experience for someone sitting next to me, LOL. So this someone.. kept bugging me about this song and I couldn't escape his pestering.. citing the song's pace and pitch. Thanks to him, I wouldn't imagine attempting this song in a million years. I am left with a torn throat after doing the charanams, but it was worth it. As for this someone, he is just one crazy fanatic of SPB and hence this obvious choice. It just happened to be Valentine season and he wanted to post it now!

Back when this film was released, I must have had lotttttttss to write.. just about everything around this film. Well if you think about it, this song is tied to one too many departed souls now and I do not intend to rampage on those topics.

That said, on a lighter note.. who can forget 'My Dear Diana'?! LOL

Contrary to my previous upload.. Kalapani / Siraichaalai is such a fine film spanning all aspects of it. This song needs no introduction.

There are very few songs which makes an impact the first time you listen to it. This is one of those elite beauties that never bores you no matter how many times you have listened to it. The song itself is an amazing composition... And with SPB and KSC improvising every single word, it takes it to a whole new level. What a duet to cover! With this K track (so-so, interlude wise), V & I had goosebumps while recording. Oh and how I would love to record every song in this film. Next one is surely Aalolangili.. and Mannan Kurai if only I can spot a track!

Vasanth had couple of hours to spare yesterday and I had just spotted a track. We probably haven’t heard this song in a while, so here is the outcome. It was a very impulsive decision, but we sure did sing our hearts out! ;o)
