Anybody who was in Engineering college during 2000-2001 would know Minnale - the movie's impact.. or at least I did. Given I was in Mech stream :) every Mech dept. guy assumed he was Madhavan for some reason! buhahaha!
I have some fond and bad memories to go with this song. Well, I had reasons to be crazy about this song then... my friends in college used to listen to my version of Vaseegara over and over... I recall all those vetti college hours and hence some cherished memories to go with it. I'll rather not go into details of bad memories.. any of my college mates reading this would know.... boy, were we childish or what!
I have been on and off liking this song.. back when cassette was released, I was addicted to it.. then I hated it for many years to follow, now I love it all over again.. Jayasree and the flute prelude/interludes are the only two reasons.. I haven't really understood the choreography of this song, or the logic behind fatsos dancing around a pole (it was NOT looking good) or why Madhavan was shown like a macho figure, rather than the typical cute guy which he really was :oD
Nevertheless it was best singing in my original voice and I didn't have to dupe it or whatever. I think its quite obvious so to say. I hear it sounds better on headphones than regular speakers, listen & let me know how you liked it!
Cheers

PS: So to clarify - the final humming was not my idea (du'h!), you can find it in the original as well - check out the video (with the humming) here
