I wanted to start the year with a thathuva paadal awakening the depth and true meaning of life. Strangely I didn't have many choices, it eventually turned into pathos or pen viduthalai song (sigh!!). Philanthropic / Philosophical numbers are well received in the male base staayis I suppose! Not complaining. Vaanaville stood out in this list, the song does not intend to cheer up but rather bring realization and lift one's spirit about life's true perspective. Although... I must say that the second stanza is set in praise of the hero (situational) I had already finished this cover when I came to know that the Male versions (IR, Hariharan) had more meaningful lyrics. Anyways here goes.
May this new year bring warmth, peace and happiness. May you abandon all the tried, tested principles, break free and make a new beginning. May you have the power to love and spread love. Happy New Year!
